Genetic Testing for Hereditary Cancers

With extensive research, several cancers have been found to have a potential genetic link.  

Mutations or variations in genes passed from parent to child can drastically raise the risk of cancer – in fact, certain inherited sydromes lead to nearly a 100% chance of getting certain types of cancer.

Fortunately, knowing if your family is at risk allows you to take action against hereditary cancer and take steps to significantly reduce your risk. If your family has a history of the disease, Myriad's genetic tests can identify the genetic variations that are the most common causes of inherited cancers. We also offer tests to help identify if your are at increased risk for certain side effects from chemotherapy.
